Which qualification is right for me?
This is all down to the craft and enviroment that you wish you lead from and where? below are options that we can run for you or your club/centre.
The craft can be SUP / Surf kayak / White water kayak / Sea Kayak / Canoe
Sheltered Water Paddlesport Leader
Aimed at paddlers who wish to lead groups in a sheltered water environment. This award is also multi-craft and ideal for club or centre-based paddlers.
Structure
- Must be an NGB member and hold a current first aid certificate
- Optional formal training
- 1 or 2 day assessment covering suitable venues

BC Paddlesport Leader Training
BC Paddlesport Leader Assessment
Moderate Water Leader
Aimed at paddlers wanting to lead groups in the moderate water environment. This award is discipline specific.
Structure
- Optional formal training 2 days
- Consolidation and practice
- 1 day of assessment

Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP)
Canoe
White Water Kayak
Touring
Advanced Water Leader
Aimed at paddlers wanting to lead groups in the advanced water environment. This award is discipline specific.
